I don't think Batman would participate because Zorro is, in fact, Batman's hero. The hero in black, rich man pretending to be lazy while secretly helping the people. Even his base is inspired by Zorro's, a cave under his house. But he would defend himself if Zorro thinks he's a villain until he can prove they are both on the same side.
